Hiroshima Oyster Souvenirs - "Oil & Oyster"
The "Oil & Oyster" products represent some of the most typical souvenirs from Hiroshima and have appeared multiple times on TV and in magazines. The company has its own oyster farm on the back side of Miyajima Island where it grows oysters used in raw dishes, oysters in shells, and oysters used in frozen foods such as fried oysters. (These oyster souvenirs need to be refrigerated.) Be sure to also try their other products, such as "Kakigonomi Sanshoaji" (pickled oysters seasoned with Japanese pepper) and "Kaki-no-Mamakari" (oysters pickled in sweet vinegar).

Oil & Oyster Oysters Pickled in Oil
These oysters, grown on the company's own oyster farm in Hiroshima, are grilled while they are still fresh until they acquire a rich aroma, and then they are pickled in oil. You can use any leftover oil to stir-fry food, prepare salad dressings, or make pasta. This is the store's signature product.
